New Psi lurking

Well,

It's hard to gauge what's relevant and not with so many older posts..

I'm guessing half or more is - CC has always been an issue in the 'upper end' for these MMO's. The devs always act scared to allow much CC to be used in/on Upper End content.

All that being said; I tried most classes in VG. I kinda wanted to play a tank, but I really just kinda got bored. Not that the class isn't fun in it's own right, but guess I'm looking for something else personally..

I tried the PSI and really started liking the class - I do realize the potential for issues... I recall it was like that in EQ for a while; a few 'fixes' later, the class was way up in demand again - always seemed like a roller coaster ride. I like the concept of the Psi and I guess for good or bad, I'll end up playing this class.

I don't like to be a 'tank' who can't really tank and the idea of just playing songs during a whole raid with some CC tossed in - didn't appeal to me. Yes, the Bard was my first toon in VG I tried.

Nothing against them; I always wanted to play one in EQ - in a serious way, but never did. I did in fact, play an enchanter in EQ for a long time. It was my first toon to 60, and second to 65, IIRC.

Funny how 'similar' even the 'issues' are. I recall a good number of raids where, well - only one enchanter was needed - for buffs, of course. So being the 2nd/3rd or worse equipped Enchanter was pretty disheartening.

Oh well, guess I'm up for the punishment again. I guess with my playstyle I see 'potential' in the class - but we'll see

unfortunately i cant help you when it comes to CC at the highest levels since im only lvl 37. i can tell you this tho, it has helped a lot in groups in dungeons and has saved me and remaining group from corpse runs on several occasions. it isnt always necessary but it sure does help, especially in the case me and my friends do things. we are inpatients at times and try harder dungeon than recommended. so yes CC does help and it can save time and corpse runs, but whether it is necessary at raid level i dont know

What a Psi can bring to the table at the highest levels is very powerful. Not just CC, but dps, counterspelling, aggro management, mana management.

Psi's are in high demand. I'll often get cold tells for groups... especially in the high level dungeon Vi'Rak.

Yeah it´s a drop/blank psi-pad mix. I was thinking it was a cynetics cruiser drop since they just got added. Seeing as we got our two kills before tha drop would have been added. Is it a cynetics cruiser drop? I sure as hell hope so
